Question by swtnlow44: I just received a spam email ( replica watches) that said it was sent from my own yahoo acct.?
It had my exact yahoo address ( in sent from column) but I checked and it was not in my sent folder.. I have changed my password, I am just trying to figure out what else I can do…any suggestions? and How in the heck did they do that???

I started getting these about a year ago.
Since I never email myself I just marked them all as spam and eventually they went away.

  1. its a new trick, you can put a “sent from” address on certain emails so that the reply does not work and they are harder to block

you have nothing to worry about, they did not hack into you account

  2. Spammers can hide their own address behind yours.
Right click on the message and look at “properties”.
This will show the actual address it originated from

  3. Its just a glitch, nothing to be worried about , just in case always sign out of your account. and don’t give any of your information out
