OK so i really really REALLY want an authentic replica of Edward Elric’s State Alchemist pocket watch. i was looking on Amazon and other websites and they have them but there are a bunch of different versions so i don’t know which one to buy. Can some one steer me in the right direction please? I want it to be as close to the one in the anime as possible, engraving and all. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!

I already have one of those.
I purchased it on Ebay, but i’m not real sure if its fake or whatnot.
I suggest looking at Pictures of the Pocket watch and comparing them.

I’m looking specifically at Rolex replicas. There are lots of websites with reviews but it’s hard to say if they are the products of those who are selling watches at times or not. So before I leap in and buy a watch I want to make sure I’m not dealing with some flim/flam artist.

Hi, my friend from Zhuhai, China wants to send me some “replica” rolex watches to me. They are only 100 RMB. However, I told her not to because I am afraid she would get in trouble with the China Custom. Is my concern valid??

There is always a risk, although minimal as I guess she is not sending a box full of watches.

Maybe it would be best for her not to put her return address on the package. Also in case it is opened, she should not put the original box in it so that the watch looks like it’s your old one and she is sending it back to you. Maybe she can write a little note in Chinese saying: here is your watch that you forgot to take ….

And in case they seize the package, it’s only 100RMB so the loss is not so great. I’ll bring you one back from HK next time…:)

Edit: I guess Webball and I are now part of this contraband scheme…how much do we get each?

LOL!!!! Replica is the fancy word for knock-offs.
Try the downtown street vendors. They have similar setups to the ones in city’s like L.A. and N.Y. You know, where there are hundreds of stalls and shops with clothing, tapestry, flags and jewelry hanging everywhere and people are bartering.
In L.A. we called these areas the Garment or Vendor Districts. They may be called something else there, of course.
